Imagine beautiful patterns and colors that turn into gorgeous handmade creations. This is what ethical fashion brand, Dominga from Ecuador is known for.
After the Galapagos Islands, it was time to discover another beauty: Cuenca. We had heard and read great things about this colonial jewel, and we were beyond excited to finally discover it.
We only had two days to explore the city before heading to our last stop: Peru. Instead of planning each day, we decided to take it easy, and just go with the flow.
On our last full day in the Galapagos Islands, we took a day tour to Seymour Norte Island to see the adorable blue-footed boobies.
I never thought of myself as an animal person, but after spending 14 days on the Galapagos Islands, I am now a changed woman :). After this trip I want to visit all the other regions famous for their wildlife, like seeing the orangutans in Borneo or going whale watching california way. This was a great place to start though, due to its links with Charles Darwin who played a huge role in the theories we now accept as fact when it comes to the natural world. Although I kept my distance, I found myself admiring the wildlife that makes the Galapagos Islands unique in the world. Seymour Norte makes no exception…
Isabela Island was my favorite island in the Galapagos. Less touristy than Santa Cruz, much more chilled, and I dare to say, more beautiful.
We went from sunbathing to trekking in the same afternoon, and I had my first snorkeling experience there. If we ever go back to the Galapagos Islands, Isabela will be my first choice. Those looking to travel to the islands should definitely consider going on galapagos tours and cruises.
Bertrand loves volcanoes. Don’t ask me why. Me, on the other hand, I’m not that keen, but because I am the best girlfriend in the world, I agreed to go for 48h to the almighty Cotopaxi Volcano.
Cotopaxi is an active volcano in the Andes Mountains, located about 50 km south of Quito, Ecuador.
Quito is the most beautiful capital city in South America. I know it’s a big statement, but it’s true. Prior to visiting Quito, we had seen our fair share of beautiful cities such as the marvelous Rio de Janeiro, the vibrant Buenos Aires, and the charming Sucre.
From gorgeous Quito to the unique Galapagos Islands, through to the colonial beauty that is Cuenca, and finishing with the Sacred Valley in Peru. Ethical fashion brand, Andes Fashion helped us discover and connect to a new world.
We spent 14 days in the Galápagos Islands, a decent amount of time to be able to see what this unique part of the world has to offer. One of our favorite experiences was Tortuga Bay.
